- 1991 - 1994 Oxford Brookes University - BSc joint honours in Geology and Cartography.
- Jan 1995 - June 1997 ESR ltd - Cartographer for a commercial cartographic company - working on maps of all scales and sizes and the occasional atlas. Most work was completed in Freehand, but also using Photoshop.
- June 1997 - Nov 2006 UCL - Cartographic Illustrator for the geography department - work involved maps, but also brochures, posters, logos, flyers, displays and basic graphics. Most work was completed in Illustrator, but also using Quark and Photoshop as well as scanning software.
- Dec 2006 - present Working freelance as E M Maps and Graphics - I've been working on location maps, maps for events, some design work including logos, business cards and a brochure for an arts event - I use the Adobe Creative Suite, can still use Quark and use the MSOffice software where necessary. I have also been exploring a more creative side and producing greetings cards and map-based artwork.
